Matthew Walker


Hi, I'm Matt Walker, Founder and Clinical Director of The Osteo Practice. Over the past decade, I've been privileged to guide a diverse patient base through their healthcare journeys—ranging from individuals with common injuries to expectant mothers, young children, fitness enthusiasts, and top-tier athletes.

I hold a Master’s degree from the renowned British School of Osteopathy, an education that serves as the foundation for my holistic healthcare approach. I encompass various techniques including spinal manipulation, acupuncture, soft tissue mobilisation, and sports injury rehabilitation. At the core of my practice, however, is a commitment to individualised care. I meticulously tailor each treatment plan to meet the unique needs and objectives of my patients, to achieve not only effective relief but also long-term well-being.

Jay Towolawi

Physiotherapist and sports medicine

Jay is a highly qualified physiotherapist with a strong academic background, holding a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry, a Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy and a Degree in Sports Medicine.

He has dedicated several years to working in the National Health Service in Central London, gaining valuable expertise in Orthopaedic and Musculoskeletal Departments. Alongside his NHS experience, Jay has also been actively involved with Fulham FC Academy, where he has provided his services on a full-time basis.

Jay aims to revolutionise the way healthcare is delivered. His vision is to move beyond the confines of conventional clinic rooms, offering state-of-the-art sports physiotherapy in a modern and well-equipped gym environment. Jay's passion lies in delivering exceptional quality care and rehabilitation, placing a strong emphasis on catering to the needs of athletes and individuals seeking functional fitness.

As a specialist in sports physiotherapy, Jay possesses comprehensive expertise in various areas. He has developed a particular focus on ACL and knee rehabilitation, functional fitness, and effectively addressing running-related injuries. Through continuous professional development and a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in his field, Jay consistently provides evidence-based and tailored treatments to his clients.

Jonathan Wride

Ultrasound diagnostics and guided injections

Jonathan specialises in ultrasound sonography to provide precise diagnostic imaging and guided injections. His expertise encompasses the detailed assessment and management of conditions including those related to muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints and arthritis.

With experience in both NHS rotations and private practice, Jonathan has worked with professional athletes, recreational sports enthusiasts and the general public. His extensive qualifications in physiotherapy, including post-graduate certifications in Diagnostic Ultrasound and Injection Therapy, allow him to employ advanced techniques in his practice. Additionally, Jonathan's Independent Prescribing qualification enables him to prescribe *medications independently at our Harpenden clinic.

Outside of his clinical work, Jonathan maintains an active lifestyle through regular gym sessions and road running, reflecting his dedication to personal well-being.

Jake Coombe​

Jake has been an esteemed member of The Osteo Practice since 2020, consistently demonstrating his immense value to our organisation. With his exceptional diagnostic skills and proficiency in crafting effective injury management plans, Jake has quickly become a favourite among our clients. Emily Wade

Massage and Scar therapy

Boasting an extensive history as a massage therapist, Emily further elevates her expertise with specialised training in scar therapy. This unique combination makes her an invaluable asset for individuals seeking post-surgery or injury care.

At the heart of her therapeutic passion lies an impressive sporting background. Emily proudly represented England internationally as an alpine ski racer. This love for sport, combined with an appreciation for the intricacies of the human body, steered her towards specialising in pain and injury management.

Emily's diverse experience caters to a broad range of clients. Whether addressing persistent discomforts from inactive lifestyles or intense physical exertion, she excels in delivering profound massage therapies. Conversely, time spent helping at a local hospice refined her proficiency in oncology massage and scar therapy, equipping her to offer more delicate therapeutic solutions. Emily is proficient in the RESTORE Scar Therapy method. This method employs specialised scar massage techniques, fascial release, therapeutic tools, and self-care advice, all aimed at fostering a healthy recovery.
